After hours service coming for Embraer in Brazil

  1. Embraer Breaks Ground for New Executive Jet Service Center in Brazil

Four months after announcing its new executive jet service center in Brazil, Embraer broke ground at Bertram Luiz Leupolz (SOD) airport in Sorocaba, fulfilling its promise to bring convenient services to its customers. The 216,000-square-foot site will include hangars, VIP lounges, meeting rooms and crew living quarters, as well as administrative offices. This facility will offer a broad range of maintenance, repair and overhaul and fixed-base operator services, affording customers maximum operational flexibility. The opening is expected in the second half of 2013.

“This groundbreaking reinforces our commitment to our Brazilian customers” said Edson Carlos Mallaco, Embraer Vice President, Customer Support and Services, Executive Jets. “Among the top three companies in the business aviation industry for customer support and services, we will keep investing in better services in order to increase our customer satisfaction even more.” With an estimated investment of USD 25 million in the Sorocoba service center over the first five years, the facility will generate up to 250 direct jobs. The design is based on meetings with customers, government officials and aviation marketing specialists to develop concepts, designs and service levels to fully meet customer requirements. Along with Embraer Service Center in São José dos Campos and its authorized service centers in Belo Horizonte, Brasília, Curitiba, and Goiânia, Sorocaba’s unit will increase Embraer support for its growing executive jets fleet in Brazil.
