  1. Embraer Legacy 500 Given Green-Light by FAA to Fly in U.S
The Embraer Legacy 500 business jet received Brazilian certification just two months ago and the first unit has been delivered to the Brazilian client. Continuing the Legacy, it has now achieved another milestone by being granted FAA approval to operate over the United States. The momentous occasion happened on October 21st at the 2014 NBAA when an FAA official inked the certificate in the presence of the aviation media at Embraer's show display, clearing the way for the mid-size business jet to fly in the United States.
  2. “It was a long journey started in 2006 when the company decided to launch the Legacy 450 and 500,” says Marco Tulio Pellegrini head of Embraer executive jets. “We are very, very pleased to have achieved this milestone.” The signing at the 2014 NBAA makes the event more significant and the fact that it is a so-called 'clean-sheet' design to be able to achieve FAA approval in such a short time frame is phenomenal.
