  1. Embraer Jet Aircraft

Embraer is one of the world’s leading aircraft manufacturers. Throughout its 40-year history, Embraer has been involved in all aspects of aviation including design, development, manufacturing, sales and technical support for commercial, agricultural and executive aviation. Embraer has produced more than 5,000 aircraft that operate in 92 countries and is the market leader for commercial jets up to 120 seats. Embraer manufactures several lines of business and executive jets.

Embraer announced its entrance in the Business Aviation market in 2000. The success of the Legacy 600 since its entry into service in 2002 was followed by the launch of new aviation products and continued investments in the future of Embraer's business jet aircraft. Among Embraer's executive jets are the Phenom 100, Phenom 300, Legacy 450, Legacy 500, Legacy 600, Legacy 650 and Lineage 1000. Each of these jets are positioned at the top of their categories, offering space, comfort, performance and efficiency.

Created in 1969, Embraer - Empresa Brasileira de Aeronáutica, was a mixed capital company under government control. With the support of the Brazilian Government, the Company would transform science and technology into engineering and industrial capability. In addition to starting the production of the Bandeirante, Embraer was commissioned by the Brazilian Government to manufacture the EMB 326 Xavante, an advanced trainer and ground attack jet, under license of Italian company Aermacchi. Other developments that marked the beginning of Embraer’s activities were the EMB 400 Urupema high-performance glider and the EMB 200 Ipanema agricultural airplane.

By the end of the 70’s, the development of new products, such as the EMB 312 Tucano and the EMB 120 Brasilia, followed by the AMX program in cooperation with the companies Aeritalia (now Alenia) and Aermacchi, allowed Embraer to reach a new technological and industrial level. The entry into service of the new EMBRAER 170/190 family of commercial aviation in 2004, Embraer’s definitive presence in the executive aviation market, as well as the expansion of its operations into the aviation services market, established solid foundations for Embraer's future development.

Embraer’s Legacy success and the increasing demand for executive aircraft in various market segments led Embraer to fully commit to executive aviation in 2005 with the formation of Embraer Executive Jets and the launch of two brand new designs, the Phenom 100 and Phenom 300. Since this time, Embraer has developed a full line of business jets ranging from the entry-level Phenom 100 to the ultra-large cabin Lineage 1000. In addition to designing an extensive array of aircraft, Embraer has invested $200 million in building a premium, worldwide support network that now numbers over 60 Embraer-owned and Authorized Service Centers worldwide. This network is complemented by a 24-hour Customer Contact Center at the Company’s headquarters in São José dos Campos, Brazil, to provide assistance to customers anywhere in the world, anytime of the day.

Today, just over a decade after entering the executive aviation market, more than 500 Embraer Executive Jets are operating in nearly 50 countries and Embraer is the only manufacturer fielding a family of executive jets in nearly every category. Embraer is a company on the rise, investing in customer convenience with an ambitious decision to move the Embraer Executive Jet headquarters to the United States in 2008. With a $50 million investment, the new Melbourne, FL, complex began with the 80,000-square-foot Phenom 100 assembly center which was opened in February 2011 at Melbourne International Airport. In December of that same year, Embraer opened a 58,000 sq. ft. Sales & Design Center where customers for Embraer Executive Jets come to design the interior of their aircraft. The Customer Center is also the delivery site for all U.S.-assembled Phenoms, the first of which was delivered in December 2011.

In March 2012, Embraer announced the expansion of its Melbourne campus with the addition of the Embraer Engineering and Technology Center USA, a 67,000 sq. ft. facility which is the first of its kind for Embraer outside of Brazil. The Embraer Engineering and Technology Center, representing a total project cost of approximately $26 million, conducts research and development activities for both product and technology development across Embraer’s commercial, executive jet and military business lines with the first assignments primarily focused on executive jet interiors. While the engineering and technology work begins in the third quarter of 2012, the new facility is expected to be fully operational at the end of 2013. Embraer will be partnering with universities and other educational institutions in the US and in Florida to develop programs of mutual benefit.
