Bombardier Second Quarter Deliveries Up Bombardier's business jet arm is reporting decent traction in deliveries for the second quarter of 2015. Not only are the deliveries up but they gained orders as well for the period. 47 business jets were reported to have been delivered in the second quarter versus 38 for that same period in 2014. They also report 8 orders gained for the second quarter of 2015. With 19 orders gained in Q1 and 8 in Q2 that rounds out the first half of the year with 27 new orders for Bombardier business jets.
Overall the industry is still rough with instability in many regions of the world being blamed for under performance for Bombardier in some sectors. “Current economic conditions and geopolitical issues in some regions, such as Latin America, China and Russia, have had an impact on industry-wide order intake.” noted the company in its second quarter financial report. Their new gen programs have taken a hit as well with the development of the LearJet 85 being 'paused' and the Global 7000 slipping further back with entry into service perhaps in Q2 2018.
