  1. Profits and Deliveries Rise For Cessna In 2015
Textron Aviation, the over-arching company of Cessna sung praises for its performance in 2015. Both deliveries and profits were up thanks to good performance from Cessna's continued positive turboprop sales with the King Air family and the entry into service of the Cessna Citation Latitude executive jet. To give an idea, Textron Aviation shipped 166 Citation aircraft and of that number 117 of them were Beechcraft King Airs and 16 were of the brand new Citation Latitude. For the same type and same period in 2014, they shipped 159 with 113 of them being King Airs.
  2. Textron revenue also rose with a $300 million padding to around $4.8 billion. Their profits increased by approximately $150 million to $400 million dollars. Textron Aviation will continue to have great offerings into the future. Of course in the last year we saw the formal launching of two new programmes in the Citation Longitude and Hemisphere. These two future aircraft are expected to be game changers for Textron Aviation and Cessna in the future. There is also talk of a new turboprob single to be unveiled by Cessna. It is anticipated to be a a clean-sheet design billed for unveiling in July, 2016. It will be powered by the new General Electric Aviation's in-development 1,300shp GE93 engine. Good times are ahead for Cessna and Textron Aviation, watch this space.
