  1. First Embraer Legacy Model To Hit Production Line In May
The Embraer Melbourne, Florida facility has been undergoing further expansion as we speak and this is to facilitate the assembly and completion of the Legacy 450 and 500 alongside the Phenom line of light jets. The expansion more-than doubles the previous available space. When completed in a few weeks, the final assembly plant should have just under 150,000 sq ft working room and it is then that the first Legacy model, a Legacy 450 will roll down to be completed.
  2. With the fuselage of that jet arrived on site already and wings enroute from the Portugal factory, they are poised to commence assembly. The first Legacy model won't be delivered right away though as that is penned for late in the year. When all is up to speed and working in harmony, the Melbourne, Florida facility is expected to be able to assemble as many as 96 Phenoms and 72 Legacys annually.
