Midsize Offering With FlexJet's Embraer Legacy 450 FlexJet announced that it is adding a proper Midsize category in its offering to customers as it anticipates taking delivery of the brand new Embraer Legacy 450 starting next year. The category is being put into existence this month and will pretty much go between their super midsize category by their Challenger 350 model and the super light category operated by their Lear 75 model. The special LXi interiors for the aircraft are being finalized at the moment for FlexJet.
Michael Silvestro, chief executive officer of Flexjet added: “We know that current and prospective owners are seeking cabins that are larger and more luxurious than those typically found in this category, complemented by the newest technology and optimized performance. We are thrilled to bring the innovative Legacy midsized cabin solution to the market starting this month.” FlexJet's fleet includes the Gulfstream G450, Bombardier Challenger 350, Bombardier Global Express, Bombardier LearJet 75, Embraer Phenom 300 and the to come: G500, G650. The Legacy 450 has a range in the region of 2,600 nautical miles depending on the load and can fly as high as 45,000 feet. At six feet tall and six feet, 10 inches wide, the cabin of the Legacy 450 is the largest in its class and features a baggage capacity 20 percent larger than that of its closest competitor. The Flexjet edition of the Legacy 450 offers a best-in-class, flat-floor cabin and features seating for eight passengers.
