  1. In-Service Gulfstream Jets Now Have New PaintShop At Gulfstream
Gulfstream Aerospace, a General Dynamics company have opened a new paint shop that is dedicated to work on in-service Gulfstream business jets. Usually owners would have to go to a dedicated third-party paint shop or perhaps a completions center to have work done but Gulfstream is making sure it can recapture some of that market from their already in-service executive jets. All Gulfstream model aircraft will be able to be accommodated in the shed when it takes first work in mid-September.
  2. Joe Rivera, who is the VP and general manager of the Gulfstream Savannah service center said: “Demand for new Gulfstream aircraft is strong and so is the demand for enhancing aircraft already in service. This facility gives customers a dedicated space for our Product Support organization to tackle their paint requests — from full strip-and-paint jobs to custom livery and logo applications. Its close proximity to the Savannah Service Center makes it an ideal location for customers who need maintenance and/or refurbishment work to go along with painting an individual part, multiple parts or an entire aircraft. The end result will be reduced downtimes.” The hangar is both heated and air conditioned in various section and features isolation regions where sensitive operations like paint strip, priming and painting.
