  1. Real Testbed EA500 With EA700 Wing Unveiled
One Aviation has unveiled an Eclipse EA500 that has been fitted with the larger wings intended for the new EA700/Project Canada aircraft. This EA500 will be the first of three testbed aircraft intended to test components that will be on the new EA700. One Aviation is taking the safe and cost-effective route by debuting the new wing on an existing platform which cuts down manufacture time with the ability to gather real-world data on the new wing in a much faster time frame.
  2. The first testbed aircraft is registered N990NE and sports a non-production conforming wing variant as it does not feature the additional winglets that will appear on the Eclipse 700. It is nice to see a developmental prototype but bear in mind this is an early stage test bed. The Eclipse 700 will have a slightly longer cabin over the EA500. Just yesterday the Albuquerque, New Mexico-based airframer revealed the first preliminary testbed aircraft.
