  1. 2Q17 Performance For Textron Aviation
Textron Aviation says that they revenues for the second quarter of 2017 dropped mainly due less King Air deliveries compared to the same period a year ago. Jet performance for the period have been decent with Textron shipping one more aircraft more than in the second quarter of 2016. 46 Citation aircraft were delivered in the second quarter while 19 King Air class turbo prop aircraft were shipped. This represents a slight drop vs the 23 of last year Q2.
  2. Textron chairman and CEO Scott Donnelly said this morning during an investor call. The division recorded a $54 million profit in the second quarter versus $81 million a year ago, primarily due to lower volume and less favorable mix. Just remember this is only the second quarter performance, there is still the rest of the year to come. Their backlog at the end of the second quarter stood at around 1 billion dollars.
