Honda Aircraft says today that certification of the HA-420 HondaJet is delayed by roughly one year to late-2014 as development of the light jet's all-new engine continues to fall behind schedule. Deliveries of five of these jets were supposed to be by late 2013 but as you can see a delay of one year butchers the schedule severely.
HondaJet has launched their fifth flight test aircraft. The fifth conforming aircraft flew on May 16 from HondaJet’s headquarters in Greensboro, N.C. During the 60-min. flight, the aircraft climbed to 12,000 ft. and reached a top speed of 300 kt. true airspeed.

Honda Jet displayed two Honda Jets at the EAA AirVenture Oshkosh. Both were FAA-conforming jets, one painted in red and white livery and the other one blue and white. They then completed the day by conducting a fly-by.
Honda Aircraft Company has marked the opening of a new customer service facility with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at its Greensboro, North Carolina HQs. The facility is a 90,000 sq ft expansion of the company’s corporate operations at the Piedmont Triad International Airport, leaving the total Honda Aircraft campus on more than 600.000 sq ft. The facility will act as the company’s customer service organisation and will complement the HondaJet dealer network by providing heavy maintenance and repair and overhaul work.
