  1. FAA AirWorthiness Directive For Piper's M600
Piper Aircraft's flagship model the M600 single engine turboprop has been handed down an airworthiness directive from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). It appears that on some M600s undersized fasteners have been used in construction and to address this "unsafe condition" the FAA is issuing an airworthiness directive that will go into effect from July 25th, 2018. They are looking at serial numbers 4698004 to 4698041.
  2. According to the FAA, the areas of the M600 under scrutiny include the top area above the left and right cockpit windows. A speed limitation has been placed on the M600 and cannot operate in excess of 230 knots. Failure to carry out the important inspections could result in structural fatigue or loss of cabin pressure due to weakening of the skin joint.
