  1. Certification Nearly In Hand For Epic E1000
In the recent past we have been covering the certification work concerning Epic's E1000 single-engine turboprop. They have been getting close to that magical milestone but today they are as close as they can get without actually having it. Most of the flight testing for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is completed after accumulating 700 flight hours between two flight test vehicles. Once certification is in hand, the company will then look towards ramp-up production procedures.
  2. The 3.25 million dollar aircraft has been on a long certification journey since 2012. More than 80 deposits have been taken for the new plane. Pratt & Whitney PT6A-67A power is onboard to provide a maximum speed of 325-knots and a cruising speed of 265-knots. The maximum ceiling for the aircraft is 34,000-feet which can be reached in approximately 15 minutes. The economical range is around 1,650 nautical miles. In the cockpit there is a Garmin G1000 three-screen setup and a 6-seat interior layout.
