News: Eviation ALICE Closer To Reality With ERAU Collaboration

  1. ERAU Teams Up With Eviation On ALICE Electric Plane
    News is that the Embry Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) has come onboard with Eviation as it regards to the development of the ALICE 11-seater electric plane. It will be engaging in the Research and Design of the ALICE's all-electric facets for its fourth-year undergraduate engineering students in the coming Spring (2019). Eviation expects to have the ALICE debut at next year's 53rd Paris Air Show.

"By including Embry-Riddle engineers and students in the R&D pool, Eviation and the Alice Aircraft will take advantage of the exposure and knowledge from our best and brightest engineers," said Embry-Riddle chancellor Frank Ayers. Once completed the ALICE is expected to be able to carry 9 passengers a range of 650 nautical miles on one charge. Eviation CEO Omer Bar-Yohay said, "with one of the oldest and most well-respected universities at the helm, we’re confident that the Alice Aircraft is in good hands and we look forward to partnering with the prestigious university." The certification program is anticipated to take 24 to 36 month with three flight testing articles. One of the aircraft when finished is expected to cost around 2.9 million.
