    Kelly,

Most business jets are operated with two pilots, the PIC (Pilot in command) and the SIC (Second in command). There are some light jets, such as VLJ's (Very light jets) and the Cessna's Citation series of a/c, can be operated single-pilot.

As I expected. But does the PIC still get the left seat? Confused the heck out of me when I flew in a Bell Ranger and the pilot was in the right seat ...

PIC typically occupy the left seat in fixed wing aircraft and the right seat in helicopters, however there is no rule stipulating that. It is really a preference and also can depend on the ease of operation for a specific person - ie. left handed vs. right handed.

Never flown a G-5, but I could probably get used to it: Good pay, comfy cockpit and the engines looks as big as the fuselage, probably climbs just fine on one..:p

Well a G5 is isn't exactly a small business jet. They look really great in person too. I await seeing a G6 in person.

Even the G4/450 has phenomenal range so too as their smaller and new G280 mid-size jet.

Inbound Legacy by Embraer. Kinda rough landing though and heavy reversing.

I am sure they are big, but I am spoiled sizewise:

The first jet I ever flew in my life was a DC-8-73.
Never flown a simulator (or a jet) before so it was a big deal and boy was it powerful, fast and complicated for this young 29 year old DC-3 Captain 25 years ago..

As far as The Glass G-5 with all the Magic, the crew rest quarters, the 5 star hotels and the good life: My hat off to the pilots doing it and the owners who invest in the G-5.

The Global Something will always be a runner-up..

the g 550 does not cost as much as the global 6000 but i still prefer the 550, maybe because i ride in it more and and very comfy sleeping on a long ride.

Aye, glad you have the choice..:D

I have never flown a biz jet, or ridden in one, not sure I would fit in one after having spent 15 years on B-747s..

If my next lotto ticket hits home I may call the Gulfstream folks, or just stay at sea-level with my sailboat and my dog and a bottle of rum..Happiness
ain't what it used to be.
(no mention of wife here is it...? )

    Aye, you are the owner..?

14 is a bunch of ratings for sure, but over time you flush out the previous plane when you go to school for a new rating. The pain is having to be current and qualified on several planes at the same time..:(

I have enough problems keeping the 757 and the 767 apart and they are quite alike. Today I am flying a 767-300 to Madrid. The last flight a few days ago was a 757-200 from Santo Domingo. Easy job, no more remote places.
