  1. Phenom 300 Medevac Variant From Embraer
Brazilian manufacturer Embraer announced today its Phenom 300 Medevac variant, a Medevac solution for the light jet market. The Phenom 300 is already one of the best selling light jets around today and Embraer is widening its territorial footprint to incorporate medical evacuation duties. The interior of the cabin is to be fitted out by umlaut and Aerolite. Embraer and umlaut are jointly developing and certifying a new supplemental type certificate (STC) utilizing Aerolite equipment. Existing Phenom 300s can be converted to Medevac status as well.
  2. "We are honored that Embraer and umlaut have selected Aerolite’s innovative aeromedical equipment for the new Phenom 300MED," said Aerolite CEO Ronald Hengartner. "From providing the most modern EMS interior solutions to offering customer-specific support and training, Aerolite is uniquely positioned to help deliver the ultimate Medevac solution." More than 550 Phenom 300s have been shipped worldwide since the light twin started deliveries back in 2009. Embraer is also taking the opportunity with the corona virus to capitalize on the need for airborne medical platforms. "The Phenom 300 platform…is uniquely positioned for Medevac operations," said Embraer Executive Jets president and CEO Michael Amalfitano. "Given the current health crisis, we are proud to be working with two world-class Medevac-solutions partners, and we are primed to immediately start taking orders for this air ambulance solution."
