At present jetBlue is looking at launching its London route in the second half of 2021. The will to hammer-out a New York to London route has been in the air for a while now for the North American carrier. Naturally the airline is looking to make this route a reality with the 13 A321LR and 13 A321XLRs it has on order currently with Airbus. The first A321LRs for jetBlue are expected to arrive in early 2021 and therefore should give the airline enough time to execute the launching of this route in the second half of the year. The airline's Chief Robin Hayes is hopeful that Corona virus would have eased up significantly by then allowing a better chance for public travel. The airline initially is looking to fly to London from JFK and BOS although it has declined to saw which London airport is on the cards. The A321LR that will fly on this route will feature the updated version of the MINT service and cabin. Below is the tail of the first A321LR for JB.

Norwegian Air Shuttle has turned to the courts in Ireland after the government refused to give them any further financial assistance. Norwegian has now filed for bankruptcy, the equal to Chapter 1. "Seeking protection to reorganize under Irish law is a decision that we have taken to secure the future of Norwegian for the benefit of our employees, customers, and investors," said Norwegian CEO Jacob Schram. "Our aim is to find solutions with our stakeholders that will allow us to emerge as a financially stronger and secure airline."

It appears that in the future -if Qantas gets its way- that the airline will be mandating that passengers who fly with them must be vaccinated for Covid-19. The idea was floated by the airline's chief executive Alan Joyce on an interview on an Australian channel. "We are looking at changing our terms and conditions to say for international travelers… we will ask people to have a vaccination before they can get on the aircraft," Joyce stated today during the interview.

De Haviland Canada has shipped the first of three Dash 8-400 aircraft to Bangladeshi carrier Biman. "Our Dash 8-400 aircraft’s excellent economics and passenger environment have allowed us to offer high-frequency services within Bangladesh and neighboring countries over the last five years and we look forward to the increased operational flexibility that our new aircraft will provide for our fleet," said Md Mokabbir Hossain, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Biman. "The combination of our Dash 8-400 turboprops and our narrow body jets improves our overall network efficiency, connectivity and, ultimately, our system profitability. Virgin Australia is back to life and has changed up its orderbook for the Boeing 737 MAX. originally it was going to go with the MAX 8 but since the MAX was recently ungrounded and cleared to return to service the airline appears to have changed its MAX orders, going now with the longest variant of th3 MAX, the MAX 10 and scrapping the previous MAX 8s. The 25 MAX 10 units in this latest order should start to deliver by 2023 for Virgin Australia and again this is subject to how Covid-19 treats the industry.

Air Greenland orders a new Airbus A330neo. The aircraft will be the A330-800, the smaller of the two A330neo family. Once delivered to the airline in 2022 it will be used to link the Arctic island to Demark.
Air Greenland’s CEO’s Jacob Nitter Sørensen said, "the A330neo is a fundamental part of Air Greenland’s fleet strategy. The new aircraft will, for years to come, offer travellers to and from Greenland a unique inflight experience while leaving the lowest carbon footprint possible. The A330neo is a perfect fit for the very challenging task of providing safe and efficient all year passenger, cargo and freight services to and from Greenland."
