Flying Fish?

Boeing 747-400F operated by MartinAir Holland (part of the Air France-KLM Caro/Groupl) ost a part over the Netherlands last month (January 16th) while enroute to Kenya. The aircraft has been identified as PH-CKC which is a 17-year old KLM owned aircraft. The aircraft was flying from Amsterdam to Johannesburg with a stop in Kenya. When the jet reached Kenya, the missing part was recognized and reported.

An El Al Boeing 737 had a feline stowaway onboard recently in Tel Aviv. The aircraft was locked up stored yet the cat still made its way onboard the plane and to the cockpit. In fact the cat was noticed sitting atop the dashboard by one of the cockpit windows. It is unclear how long the cat had been onboard but photos circulating on social media showed the cockpit was damaged by the cat either as it tried to scratch or bite its way out. Reports suggest the cat was not harmed.

SE Aeronautics is saying they will make the world's greenest widebody aircraft, the SE200. The pitch is to say that the design of commercial aircraft has not really changed in the last 50 to 60 years between any airframer. They are bringing something different, fresh, even controversial looking but an aircraft that pins its future existence on efficiency, passenger comfort, cost of operation and overall safety. "Our innovative technology and new aircraft design will lower fuel consumption by 70% and lower CO2 emissions by 80% as measured by per seat kilometer. The innovative design is a more efficient, light-tri wing configuration that greatly improves lift over drag, resulting in short take-off and landing (STOL) capabilities and extremely long flights. The construction is all composite, molded in one tough, safer piece. We also incorporated super thin, long wings and complete streamlining from the nose to the tail. We did it all," says Lloyd Weaver, Chief Engineer, SE Aeronautics.
