eVTOL Infrastructure Push By Airbus And Munich Airport Germany's Munich Airport and Airbus are continually partnering to make the infrastructure needed to support the Advanced Air Mobility sector a reality. Without it eVTOLs for the air taxi and urban mobility market cannot efficiently function. At the recently concluded ILA Berlin Air Show the two entities advanced their partnership to this end.
Airbus as you may know is currently developing four-passenger CityAirbus NextGen eVTOL that should come into service by 2025. A slew of entities have also come together to form what is called the Air Mobility Initiative (AMI). These comprise of Airbus, the city of Ingolstadt, railway company Deutsche Bahn, aviation safety agency Deutsche Flugsicherung (DFS), uncrewed air traffic management (UTM) specialist Droniq, and Diehl Aerospace. The AMI has interests backing to 86 million Euros in public-private funding. For more information: Airbus S.A.S.
