  1. Kodiak 900 Unveiled By Daher
Daher has taken the veil off a new and larger Kodiak aircraft in the form of the Kodiak 900. The aircraft which is a near 4-foot stretch of the popular Kodiak 100 only received FAA certification last week. "Today’s official unveiling of the Kodiak 900 underscores parent company Daher’s firm commitment to the constant improvement of its aircraft product line," said Daher CEO Didier Kayat. "It follows our launch of the latest TBM family member—the TBM 960—just three months ago."
  2. Apparently the aircraft has been in development since 2016 but only started test-flying since early 2020. The test program comprised of three aircraft. The three racked-up more than 600 hours of test flying time and 800 hours of ground run time. So what is exactly new about the aircraft besides being a few feet longer? There is an all-new interior includes multi-directional Summit+ passenger seats with quick releases that allow for multiple configurations—from a double club layout to an all-forward-facing commuter-style layout. The seats are also easily removable to allow for change of mission on the fly. Many of the improvements were Aerodynamic in nature. The flap track fairings, inlet mods, and heavy-duty wheel fairings were improved.
