  1. Latest Falcon 10X Development News
The Dassault Falcon 10X is the newest executive jet the French airframer is working on and although the aircraft won't be coming into service for another few years the industry has been buzzing about this aircraft. For a long time the race to the top in the large cabin executive world has been between rivals Gulfstream and Bombardier namely between their respective offerings like the Gulfstream G650/700 and in development G800 vs Bombardier's Global 6000, 7500 and forthcoming Global 8000. Dassault could not quite match these two airframers with their large-cabin Falcon offerings, namely the Falcon 7X and 8X.
  2. However, Dassault unveiled the Falcon 10X which will be a worthy contender to its competition. That aircraft is currently being worked-on towards the stage of final assembly for the first test aircraft. "All the elements for another great Falcon are literally coming together in our various production facilities," remarked Dassault Aviation Chairman and CEO Eric Trappier. "This new aircraft, the largest purpose-built business jet on the market, will embody the latest technology and set a new benchmark for passenger experience." While Dassault is busy bringing this aircraft to life, its interior has also been busy winning prestigious awards. The ultra long-range Falcon 10X received the Chicago Athenaeum award for Good Design. The award, bestowed by the Chicago-based Museum of Architecture and Design in cooperation with the European Center for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies, is the second in the past year to be received for the 10X's innovative interior design. The aircraft earlier won a coveted Red Dot award, sponsored by The Design Society of the U.K. It was also shortlisted for the International Yacht & Aviation Awards in the private jet interior category.
  3. The Falcon 10X interior takes a different approach than most executive jet interiors. It has been designed to feel different with shapes and materiality that evoke a sense of deeper purpose. The airframer alternatively describes it as 'a Penthouse in the sky'. The passenger cabin is huge offering some 2,780 cubic feet of space to passengers onboard. Dassault Falcon is no stranger to winning awards for the interiors of their business jets though. Dassault's Falcon 7X and 2000S were also given Good Design awards in previous years for specially designed cabins, crafted in collaboration with BMW Group Designworks USA. Therefore, it is no surprise that their largest and latest jet even before it has flown is continually being recognized internationally.
