Towards the end of 2024, Gulfstream shipped the 300th delivery between the G500 and G600. “Delivering 300 aircraft is a clear indication of strong interest in the G500 and G600 around the world,” said Mark Burns, president, Gulfstream. “Thanks to investments from our parent company, General Dynamics, these aircraft continue to achieve new milestones as customer demand remains steadfast. The advanced efficiencies established by this program have provided us with the flexibility to expand our production line, supporting the success of our next-generation fleet well into the future.”
The latest record-breaking flights towards the end of 2024 included a trip from Savannah to Honolulu using a blend of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and traveling 4,090 nautical miles/7,574 kilometers in 8 hours and 52 mins at an average speed of Mach 0.90. The aircraft also set a speed record traveling 6,507 nm/12,051 km from Los Angeles to Sydney in just 14 hours and 26 minutes. These achievements now bring the G700 past 65 speed and endurance-related records.

700 City-pair speed related records Gulfstream aircraft have amassed. Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. today announced its fleet has achieved an industry-leading 700 city-pair speed records with a Gulfstream G700 flight from Taipei to Miami. This flight commemorates the 50-year anniversary of Gulfstream’s first U.S. National Aeronautic Association (NAA) accredited speed record, set in 1975 by the Gulfstream GII. The G700 traveled 7,740 nautical miles/14,334 kilometers in 14 hours and 38 minutes at an average cruise speed of Mach 0.87 during its April 1 flight from Taipei to Miami. Gulfstream’s first speed record in 1975 was set by the GII on a flight from St. John’s, Antigua, to Dakar, Senegal. “The last 50 years have showcased remarkable innovation and advancements in the Gulfstream fleet as we continue to raise the bar in business aviation for speed, efficiency, range and cabin comfort,” said Mark Burns, president, Gulfstream. “Gulfstream has a long tradition of introducing new technologies and capabilities with each new aircraft generation, and the G700 is no exception with its next-generation flight deck technology and combination of speed, range and cabin size. This latest accomplishment once again proves, in real-time demonstration, that our aircraft give customers the advantage of traveling farther faster than any other aircraft in the industry.”
