Beechcraft, formerly Hawker Beechcraft, today announced that its Defense Company team is participating in the Air Force Association’s (AFA) Annual Air Warfare Symposium and Technology Exposition this week in Orlando, Fla. The team’s participation comes on the heels of the company’s announcement that it has formally emerged from the Chapter 11 process as a new company well-positioned to compete vigorously in the worldwide business aviation, special mission, trainer and light attack markets, including the anticipated Afghanistan Light Air Support contract.

“We know that it is important for our military partners around the world to do business with solid partners, so we are pleased to enter this year’s AFA as a stronger and more agile company,” said Russ Bartlett, president of the Defense Company. “We have enjoyed a strong relationship with the U.S. Government for eight decades providing products like the King Air turboprop that fulfill specialized military missions and the T-6 Texan II, which currently trains all U.S. military pilots along with pilots from more than 25 partner nations. We are confident that the Beechcraft AT-6 will continue to build on our rich heritage as we deliver the most capable, affordable, sustainable and interoperable light attack capability available in the world today.” Located in Booth #829, the Beechcraft exhibit will highlight the T-6, AT-6 and King Air 350ER ISR aircraft.
