The Bombardier Challenger 605 business aircraft

The next offering under the top of the line Bombardier Challenger 805 in the Challenger series is the Challenger 605. The 605 is considered a large luxury business jet with the ability to carry nine passengers typically but can easily manage up to twelve passengers and fly 4,000 nautical miles non-stop. The range brings the possibility of linking many major cities together.

The Challenger 605 is an aircraft built in response to the needs and absolute necessities of pilots and business leaders alike, for today and tomorrow. By design, it provides corporate and government leaders with the widest - and indeed, one of the quietest - cabins in the industry, in which passengers can work or rest in total comfort and tranquility. It is also designed to ensure that the Bombardier Challenger aircraft, and those who fly in them, continue to stay ahead of all others.

A look at some of the performance characteristics of the Challenger 605 from Bombardier suggests; her high cruising speed is Mach 0.82 and to aid in this twin General Electric CF34-3B turbofans are the plowerplant of choice. Inside the passenger cabin guests have a comfortable space to exist in. The cabin is 28.25-feet long from the cockpit divider to the end of the pressurized compartment. The maximum cabin width is approximately 8.17-feet. The cockpit boasts the Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 avionics suite featuring four 10'' X 12" primary displays.

Many features are optional on this Bombardier business jet. You can have for example, the Bombardier Enhanced Vision System (BEVS). This system takes visibility to a new level of clarity in difficult weather conditions. The BEVS consists of a forward looking, CMC Electronics CMA-2600i infrared sensor mounted in the nose area, which provides images of the approach, runway lighting and of terrain scenery that are displayed on the pilot's HUD and on the Co-pilot's MFD. This is great for improved situational awareness. If you want a stellar long range large business jet bristling with all relevant technology with a cost-effective persona the Bombardier Challenger 605 business jet is beckoning.
