Cessna 2013 business aviation performance For some manufacturers, business jet deliveries and orders have been sluggish yet some have been holding their own in 2013. Gulfstream performed decently last year posting profits. Gulfstream raked in revenues around $8.118 billion, with profits that climbed some 65-percent to approximately $1.416 billion. On the other hand, Cessna didn't perform as well but still was commended by its parent company Textron. Overall deliveries for Cessna were down from 181 aircraft in 2012 to a disappointing 139 in 2013. Textron CEO Scott Donnelly said however, that 2014 is shaping up to be a good one as new models, including the Citation M2, Sovereign+ and upgraded Citation X, hit the market. Cessna will be banking on these new planes to force a turnaround for the Wichita, Kansas based manufacturer. Revenue at Cessna was also below par, falling from approximately $3.111 billion in 2012 to $2.784 billion in 2013, however, a positive came in the form of Cessna being able to limit some of its losses. They posted a loss of around $48 million in 2013 compared to $82 million in 2012. For more information: Cessna Aircraft Company 1 Cessna Blvd. Wichita, KS 67215 www.cessna.com ***
