  1. Second Dassault Falcon 8X Starts Flight Tests
The Dassault Falcon 8X flight test program is well underway with the recent addition of the second aircraft to the testing campaign. The second jet took off on March 30th, 2015 from the field in Bordeaux, Mérignac. MSN402 left and performed a myriad of tests reaching as high as 43,000 feet and a speed of around MACH 0.80. As tests intensify the aircraft will move to Dassault's test center in the South of France. From all accounts MSN402 performed flawlessly just as the first aircraft did. Dassault Falcon expects the flight test campaign to encompass 200 flights spanning some 500 hours before certification planned in mid 2016. The first flight for MSN402 (second 8X testbed) lasted approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes. Unveiled in May 2014 at European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE), the latest addition to the growing Falcon business jet family rolled out on 17 December. It will offer the greatest range and the longest cabin in the Falcon line, along with the most extensive selection of cabin configurations available on any business jet.
