Embraer to showcase Legacy 650 interior at MEBA 2012

  1. Embraer Executive Jets to Highlight the new Legacy 650 Interior at MEBA 2012

Embraer Executive Jets will participate in the fifth Middle East Business Aviation (MEBA) exhibition (www.meba.aero), during December 11-13, at the new Al Maktoum International Airport, Dubai World Central venue (UAE). The Company will promote its entire business aircraft portfolio, as well as its customer services and support solutions including updates on the Legacy 500 which made its maiden flight on November 27. The large Legacy 650, with the new enhanced interior, will make its Middle East debut on the heels of the delivery of the 200th Legacy aircraft. It will be accompanied on the static display by the ultra-large Lineage 1000, as well as the Phenom 300 light jet.

“The MEBA Show, the premier business aviation gathering in the Middle East, is an excellent place to present the Legacy 650 which features a striking new interior,” said Colin Steven, Vice President Marketing and Sales – Europe, Middle-East and Africa, Executive Jets. “Over 35 Legacys are already operating in this region, testimony to the success the Legacy platform has established in the Middle East region. We are confident that this enhanced version will successfully penetrate the market.” The 2012 edition of the Legacy 650 is regarded as the leading edge of interior design for the Embraer Executive Jet portfolio. The Legacy 650’s three-cabin zones allow up to 14 passengers to work or rest in a spacious area. A fully-equipped wet galley and the largest in-flight accessible baggage compartment in its class are other value-added highlights. In the new interior, cabin noise levels are reduced significantly owing to a state-of-the-art sound insulation package.

At the static display, Embraer Executive Jets will also showcase the Lineage 1000 which has won its colors from customers in the Middle-East with six operators now flying the type. The aircraft, the largest jet in the Embraer Executive Jet family, can carry 19 passengers in five cabin zones. Its 4,400 nautical miles (8,149 kilometres) range with eight passengers or 4,500 nautical miles (8,334 kilometres) with four passengers, both with NBAA IFR fuel reserves, means that the jet is able to fly nonstop from Dubai to Cape Town. The Phenom family recently marked a new milestone with the delivery of the 100th Phenom 300. The Phenom 300 is one of the fastest aircraft in the light jet category, reaching 521 mph (839km/h, or 453 knots – KTAS) and it can fly at altitudes of up to 45,000 feet (13,716 meters). Its range of 1,971 nautical miles (3,650 kilometers), including NBAA IFR fuel reserves, means the aircraft is capable of flying nonstop from Dubai to Cairo (Egypt) or Ankara (Turkey).
