  1. Gulfstream Beijing Service Center Cops FAA Part 145 Authorization
The Beijing Service Center of American airframer Gulfstream just received the nod from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) with the issuance of Part 145 Authorization. The new approval allows the Gulfstream Beijing Service Center to carry out maintenance to U.S registered Gulfstream business jets from most of the Gulfstream line. The Part 145 Authorization covers Gulfstream models such as the G200, G280, G450, GV and G550. “This achievement marks the culmination of a committed effort by many employees at Gulfstream Beijing and company headquarters in Savannah,” said Mark Burns, president, Gulfstream Product Support. “More and more of our U.S. operators are based in or traveling to China and this certification enables them to take advantage of the comprehensive support provided by our team at Gulfstream Beijing.”
  2. Gulfstream Beijing is a collaboration joint venture between the U.S-based Gulfstream and the Hainan Airlines Group. The Gulfstream Beijing property is impressive being located at the Beijing Capital International Airport, one of the busiest airports in the world. Along with its FAA certification, Gulfstream Beijing holds maintenance approvals from the aviation authorities of China, Hong Kong and Macau. The facility includes more than 70,000 square feet/6,503 square meters of hangar, ramp and office space. The FAA Part 145 Authorization is welcomed news for Gulfstream as it seeks to not only have further presence in the Chinese region with jet sales but also the capability to service and maintain.
