Gulfstream Starts Deliveries of G650ER Business Jets to Customers Savannah, Georgia-based airframer Gulfstream has announced that they have begun deliveries of the Extended Range version of the G650 business aircraft to clients. The first G650ER has been delivered and ahead of the 2015 target. “It’s a good day when you can deliver on your promises ahead of schedule,” said Larry Flynn, president, Gulfstream. “Our customers have been waiting for the G650ER, the business jet that travels farther at faster speeds than any other business jet on the market. This aircraft delivers speed and range, providing passengers a world-class travel experience. The G650ER, by all definitions, is the industry leader.” The longer range G650ER was announced back in May 2014 and just five months after it gained FAA certification paving the way for deliveries. The G650ER business jet travels nearly at the speed of sound with a top-end speed of Mach 0.925, just a hint under the Citation X+. At approximately Mach 0.85, it can carry passengers 7,500 nautical miles/13,890 kilometers, and at Mach 0.90, 6,400 nm/11,853 km. The G650ER connects more international cities and offers more nonstop destinations, from Hong Kong to New York, and Los Angeles to Melbourne, Australia.
