Gulfstream Lincoln Gains Chinese Approval For Maintenance Gulfstream Lincoln in California has been approved buy the Chinese regulatory body for maintenance work to be carried out on Chinese registered Gulfstream business aircraft. The CAAC gave the certificate of approval and highlighted approximately 150 parts that are associated with the Gulfstream aircraft. It must also be noted that the certificate covers select Gulfstream models and these include: G200, G280, GIV, G450, GV, G550. Gulfstream Lincoln is a very important facility especially because of its location. It is located near Lincoln Regional Airport, offers pickup and delivery service for wheels, brakes and other components at general aviation airports around California. The very important Van Nuys airport, Burbank, Camarillo, San Jose as well as Stockton.
The Lincoln facility stocks over 34-million dollars in parts inventory and over 1000 approved part numbers. The President of Gulfstream product support, Mark Burns commented: “Whether it is component maintenance at Gulfstream Lincoln or airframe maintenance at our Gulfstream Long Beach Service Center, providing Product Support options on the West Coast of the US is more convenient for our China-based operators.” It was only in 2009 that China's Gulfstream fleet number only around 15 business jets.
