Hawker Beechcraft to Display Three Aircraft at AIREX 2012

Hawker Beechcraft Corporation (HBC) today announced its participation at AIREX 2012, the ninth International Civil Aviation and Airports Exhibition, Sept. 6-9, at Istanbul Atatürk Airport in Turkey. HBC’s static display will feature the Hawker 900XP, along with a Multi-Mission Beechcraft King Air 350ER and a King Air 250.

“Due to its location between two continents, AIREX Turkey has become an important business aviation event for both the European and Asian markets,” said Sean McGeough, HBC president, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific. “Turkey is considered an international aviation hub with approximately 75 business turbine aircraft registered there. Research shows that of those aircraft, HBC owns an 81 percent market share of business turboprops and a 35 percent share of business jets.” According to JETNET data, the models among HBC business jets registered in Turkey range from a Beechcraft Premier I to a Hawker 4000, with the most popular being the Hawker 900XP, Hawker 800/850 and Hawker 400A/400XP. The King Air turboprops registered in Turkey cover all three current production models, with the most popular being the B200/250 and C90.

The company’s chalet at AIREX will include the following aircraft:

Hawker 900XP – From the best-selling midsized business jet lineage (the Hawker 800 series), the Hawker 900XP has combined new Honeywell engines with enhanced winglets and a large cabin for increased performance, range, efficiency, comfort and unprecedented value.

Multi-Mission Beechcraft King Air 350ER – The Multi-Mission Beechcraft King Air 350ER demonstrator aircraft is a standard extended-range airplane, which is capable of more than 12 hours endurance or more than 2,500 nautical mile range. The demonstrator has been fitted with a search radar radome with electro-optic/infrared (EO/IR) lift for surveillance missions, high density seating for military transport missions, and two medical sleds and a medical storage cabinet for air ambulance missions. All of these installations are certified by the Federal Aviation Administration and European Aviation Safety Agency, and available for immediate delivery on new aircraft from the factory.

King Air 250 – Building on a reputation of proven performance, the next-generation Beechcraft King Air 250 features composite winglets and lightweight composite propellers, delivering improved runway performance, range, speed and enhanced climb. Passengers travel in quintessential King Air comfort, easily moving about in the spacious square-oval cabin over long-distance journeys. The King Air 250 further defines mission capability with a Ram Air Recovery System that provides increased engine performance in all phases of flight, along with increased ice and debris protection, resulting in a high-performance, all-weather aircraft that can operate from unimproved runways.
