Hi everyone, I thought I would do a post to see if anyone other than Carl and I will be attending NBAA this year in Orlando. For those of you who don't know, this is the FLIBS for the business aviation industry and consists of both a huge convention hall filled with vendors as well as a static aircraft display hosted by Showalter Aviation at Orlando Executive Airport (KORL). For those who are looking to learn more about the industry or simply peruse the business jets out on Showalter's ramp, I encourage you to attend. I know Carl is planning on doing some documenting throughout his journey which will give those who cannot make it a chance to see what this show is all about. Next year the show returns to Las Vegas for those on the West Coast who are interested in attending. The link is below for the show where you can view the exhibitors etc.
I'm arriving Monday afternoon; staying near the convention center. Might run out to executive for a few shots. If you're in town and your schedule allows, maybe meet up with you for a bite to drink in the eve.
Right on the heels of FLIBS, I'll be heading to NBAA to work with our leader in the biz jet world. Another opp for jet images and will post upon returning from the show.
LOTS of press conferences at this year's show too; a sign of new products and innovation. Often a precursor to economic recovery.

We have a very well connected member on JetForums. A BIG thank you to Aviator4512 for setting up a private tour of the jets on static display at the 2012 NBAA. We were escorted by FBO owner Bob Showalter of Showalter Flying Service the day before the NBAA show opened on Orlando Executive Airport. We had the good fortune of catching a very unique jet arriving at Showalter... the Syberjet SJ30. Purportedly the world's fastest and longest range 'light' business jet, it tops out at 486 knots (560 mph!). Making touch downs feel as smooth as the sexy lines of this jet, check out the trailing link landing gear...
