Dassault Falcon offers shower option on ‘Falcon 7X’ The shower is now available as standard option for all 7X customers. It can be used both in flight and on the ground and offers up to 30 minutes showering time with a maximum temperature of 48°C (118°F), adding greatly to the comfort and efficiency of the long-distance business traveler. It features an integral rain showerhead and sleek, elegant accessories. To accommodate the shower unit, the lavatory of the Falcon 7X was completely redesigned and enlarged. It features sleek curving lines and contemporary styling. Subtle blends of materials such as polished glass, brushed aluminum and modern flooring contribute to the atmosphere of serenity, warmth and intimacy. Two windows afford abundant natural light, while clear lacquered veneer furnishing, contrasted colored paneling and mutually reflecting mirrors add to the sensation of spaciousness and comfort. The shower area's electro-chromatic window can be instantly switched from clear to opaque for maximum privacy. Installing a shower without altering the comfort of the cabin or creating icing, condensation, leakage or other hazards required considerable engineering ingenuity. "This project began less than two years ago and posed a unique challenge to our engineering and design teams," said Remi Bachelet, head of aircraft specifications and interior design at Dassault Aviation. “We not only succeeded in integrating a modern, easy-to-use feature that increases passenger comfort, but we were able to demonstrate that even during abnormal flight conditions there would be no risk,” said Bachelet. “Through intelligent design, our engineers were able to minimize the impact on the cabin layout.
