  1. Transition Flight For Archer Maker eVTOL By Year End
Archer Aviation has not been in the news too much for this year so far but they are working behind the scenes on further advancing their Maker eVTOL. The company is very confident that the Maker program will be able to achieve transition flight by the end of this year. For most of the year the team has been concentrating on the Tilt Propeller System (TPS). Below is an image showing the first hover flight test of the Archer Maker prototype eVTOL.
  2. Naturally, the TPS is key to make transition flight happen...that is to move from hovering to forward flight. Towards the end of 2021 the Maker completed its first hover test flight. https://www.jetforums.net/threads/n...t-test-flight-of-maker-evtol.4086/#post-26407 Adam Goldstein, Archer’s Chief Executive Officer and founder, commented: "What differentiates Archer from other players in our industry is our approach to commercialization as well as our laser focus on achieving that goal. The advancements we are making in our flight test campaign are nothing short of remarkable. I wake up every day inspired by our team." Based on the work Archer has left to be done the Maker eVTOL won't be coming to market in the timeframe that the eVTOL market leaders are expected to establish.
