  1. Archer Collabs With Honeywell As Flight Testing Advances
More news has emerged concerning Archer Maker eVTOL Having completed its first hover flight back in December of 2021, the testing has moved on. Currently the aircraft testing is very slowly but assuredly opening up the flight envelope for tests. The company has now successfully flown Maker at increasing speeds of up to 15 knots, in various directions and attitudes. Critical azimuthing has been conducted which is important to test and understand the crosswind capabilities of the aircraft.
  2. Adam Goldstein, Archer’s CEO, commented: “Every flight test we conduct provides us with a treasure trove of data, validating our design and rapidly propelling us towards our vision for eVTOL air travel. This latest milestone is truly exciting and not only reinforces the capabilities of our aircraft design, but of our highly innovative team. We’re excited to share more updates as we move the campaign even further forward in the coming months." Separate from the advancement of the flight test campaign so far is the cooperation with Honeywell. Honeywell is going to be covering the supply of flight control actuation and thermal management technologies. Honeywell’s actuation technology is a key enabler of Archer’s 12 tilt 6 configuration, and Honeywell’s thermal management technology will help Archer provide a best-in-class in-cabin experience for its passengers.
