  1. LOI For Up To 150 Embraer Eve eVTOLs Signed By BAE Systems
The Embraer Eve eVTOL has caught the eye of Europe's largest defense contractor, BAE Systems. The company has ordered 150 of the forthcoming eVTOLs from Embraer Eve. The announcement was made at the recently held 2022 edition of the Farnborough Air Show. There is interest on the part of BAE Systems and it doesn't appear to be a firm order but a non-binding letter of intent. BAE Systems are interested in examining the electric aircraft to see how they can be utilized in the defense and security markets.
  2. BAE already has been working behind the scenes with Embraer Eve injecting 10 million dollars. The two companies have sent respective specialist engineers to determine the suitability and for what applications the Embraer Eve would best fit. The concluded that a "range of applications such as personnel transportation, surveillance and reconnaissance, disaster relief, and humanitarian response", would be feasible. The Embraer Eve is said to be on track to enter service in 2026. Aside from the eVTOL interest, BAE Systems are also interested in Embraer's C-390 Millennium Cargo Transporter.
