  1. BOOM Makes Changes To Overture Design; Partners With Safran
Some news has emerged regarding BOOM Supersonic's Overture aircraft. Firstly, they announced a new partnership with Safran for the Safran landing systems. The first system to be co-developed between Safran and Boom will be the Overture landing systems. Technical teams at Safran Landing Systems and Boom will focus on incorporating the latest technology to improve aircraft safety, optimize weight, and reduce aircraft noise. Florence Minisclou, Executive Vice President, Customer Directorate at Safran, said: "At Safran, we are constantly innovating to integrate sustainability into our engineering and manufacturing processes, which is an important value we share with BOOM. It is an incredible opportunity to provide our expertise for a product that we believe has the ability to completely transform passenger air travel, and ensure we incorporate sustainable practices in our design methodologies."
  2. Additionally, a refined design of the Overture has been released, maybe the final version before they start to build anything. Below you can see the most current refinement to the design. Also, later this year, BOOM will start construction on The Iron Bird testing facility in Colorado and break ground on the Overture Superfactory in North Carolina. Just as a reminder, it was at this point where former potential supersonic airframer Aerion suddenly collapsed and went out of existence. That company had just started to break ground on a 300-million dollar super factory in Melbourne, Florida for the manufacture of the Aerion AS2.
