Bristow Further Expands eVTOL Ambitions With Lilium Helicopter operator Bristow has signaled its plans to dive much further into the Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) market. This emerging sector is shaping-up to be a lucrative and also integral part of how we fly in the future particularly in urban areas. Bristow has already made commitments/orders to a few eVTOL manufactures including Vertical Aerospace, Eve, and Overair. They have now made an order with Lilium for the Lilium jet. Yesterday the company announced a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (“MOU”) agreement that would cover options for 50 seven-seat Lilium jets.
The agreement comes with other facets. With its Part 145 maintenance certification and multiple air operator certificates, Bristow will also help Lilium to secure the necessary operating approvals. It will be an authorized service provider for other operators of the all-electric Lilium Jet.
