  1. FAA Certifies King Air 360/360ER
The newest model and addition to the line-up of Textron Aviation's Cessna range -the King Air 360/360ER- has been granted type certification by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Already you can expect the first delivery of this upgraded King Air in the next few weeks. "The new era of the industry-leading Beechcraft King Air begins today," said Textron Aviation senior v-p of engineering and programs Chris Hearne. "The King Air 360 is a perfect combination of customer input, innovative technology, and next-generation capabilities. With certification now in hand, we are thrilled to soon get these aircraft into the hands of our eager customers."
  2. Some of the improvements customers can expect to find on the new King Air 360/ER is an improvement in cabin altitude. This allows for a cabin environment down to 5,960 feet at 27,000 feet. Other improvements include the addition of the Innovative Solutions & Support (IS&S) ThrustSense autothrottle, which allows pilots to automatically managing engine power from the takeoff roll through climb, cruise, descent, and go-around phases of flight. Digital pressurization is also available allowing more control over the pressure in the cabin through ascent and descent and other features.
