EASA Approves Daher Socata TBM 940 The latest TBM light turboprop single -the TBM 940- has been given the green light by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). With the type certification in hand the company can look forward to making deliveries of this latest model into various territories of Europe. The TBM 940 is the first production light turboprop single (sub 12,500 lbs) with auto-throttle tech in it from the factory.
Daher Socata used the 2019 European Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition (EBACE) to announce the European approval of the TBM 940. The TBM 940’s airworthiness authority approval comes two months after the aircraft’s launch in March, with 25 orders already booked for the version. Initial deliveries will be to customers in Europe and Asia, followed by North America and other markets after subsequent certification by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration.
