  1. Slow First Half 2019 For Dassault Falcon
The executive side of the business for Dassault has been pretty slow so far in 2019 for the French airframer. For the first half of this year, the company managed to sell seven jets and deliver seventeen making the overall performance very flat. The company is blaming a number of factors on the slow rate of business. The outfall from geopolitical tensions, trade war issues between the US and China and even European elections have been cited as part of the reasons for their slow and below-par performance.
  2. Negotiations on some jets with customers were also ongoing and after the first half of the year, appeared to have some success with the closure of many of those negotiations. However, compared with the same period last year, the backlog for end of June 2019 stood at 43 which was 10 aircraft fewer than first half 2018. Add in the extra sales for July and August the backlog was at 56, which means 13 aircraft were successfully sold in that little period. Dassault Falcon is still confident with their in-development Falcon 6X which is expected to come to market in 2022.
