First Half Sees 18 Bizjet Orders For Dassault Falcon Dassault Falcon has done a bit better this year so far in terms of its order intake. The French company said that is has taken orders for 18 business jets for the first half of 2018. This is four jets better than last year with 14 articles for the same period. These do not include old orders for the now defunct Falcon 5X. Head of Dassault Falcon business jet arm Eric Trappier did not elaborate on the make up of the orders but hinted that some old 5X orders were shifted to existing models like the 7X and the new 6X successor.
As it relates to deliveries the company was slightly down on shipments for the first half of the year. The first half yielded 15 deliveries, which represents two less than the same period in 2017. The French company is still aiming to deliver 40 jets for the year, that remains to be seen as attainable. At the end of last month the backlog for the company was around 55 aircraft.
