  1. First 6X By Dassault Falcon Shaping Up
The first example of the Dassault Falcon 6X is now taking shape after the airframer was satisfied with the design and finalized it. The new aircraft is expected to complete assembly next year and eventually take flight in 2021. Deliveries are then expected to take place in 2022 after a rigorous flight test program is completed and certification granted. Dassault Falcon expects that the full fuselage is expected to be delivered to Bordeaux-Mérignac site for final assembly by the end of Fall this year which will take it into early next year until we see the first example fully assembled.
  2. The Dassault Falcon 6X is the newest Falcon to the Dassault business jet line-up. Originally this jet was pegged to be the Falcon 5X until the Silvercrest powerplant problems forced the airframer to pull the plug on that program. They came back shortly after with the reboot, the 6X powered by Pratt & Whitney Canada 800 series (PW812D) engines. Test work with the engines are going according to plan, no issues. Over 1,000 test hours have been established with 5 developmental engines to date.
