GE Aviation Passport Engine EASA Approved The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) gave the nod of approval to Bombardier for its brand new Global 7500 powerplants, the GE Aviation Passport 20 engines two years ago. However, the FAA's European counterpart -European Aviation Safety Agency- only has now green-lighted the engines for the aircraft. The Type Certification sheet was released on the 18th of December by the EASA.
Bombardier is said to be preparing to deliver the first Global 7500 to its launch customer today. The GE Aviation Passport 20 is a 16,500 lbs thrust engine falling in the purpose-built bracket of 10,000 to 20,000 lbs thrust engine development by the manufacturer. The engine has been developed for longhaul business jets like the Global 7500. For more information: Bombardier Aerospace 400 Côte-Vertu Road West Dorval, Quebec H45 1Y9 Canada www.bombardier.com ***
