    FAA Certifies Embraer Praetor 600
Embraer has received Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) type certification for the new Praetor 600. The development comes approximately one month after it was certified by its native aviation organization, ANAC validated it. If you are at EBACE this year you will find an example of the Praetor 600 as well as the 500 alongside a slew of other Embraer offerings. The Legacy 650E, Lineage 1000E and Phenom 100EV as well as Phenom300E are on display at the show.

If the Praetor 600 and 500 look familiar like you have seen them before you would not be incorrect for thinking this way. The new supermidsize and midsize offerings are pretty much derivatives of the already popular Legacy 500 and Legacy 450 models. The midsize/supermidsize markets are becoming increasingly crowded and more offerings are available and Embraer of making sure they stay in the game. At 21 million dollars the Praetor 600 has some competition but they are selling with reportedly a year's backlog worth in the bag so far.
