Embraer Praetor Cabin Update; Phenom 300 Avionics Upgrade Brazilian airframer Embraer has some news regarding upgrades to aircraft of two of its executive jet lines, the Praetor and the Phenom. Specifically, the Praetor 500 and 600 as well as the Phenom 300. The Praetors get some enhancements to the interior cabin especially regarding air quality onboard. Embraer is now making the HEPA filter standard on all Praetor aircraft, announcing the certification of a new electric lavatory pocket door, and approving the use of MicroShield360. As for the Phenom 300, the Garmin G1000 NXi has been approved paving the way for avionics retrofit to proceed.
For the Phenom 300, the Prodigy Flight Deck was what the plane came with from the factory. The newer Garmin G1000 NXi has faster processing, allowing for smoother and faster panning and split-screen intuitiveness. The pilots will love the new capabilities such as wireless connectivity for database updates and two-way flight plan transfer. You can also add the optional GWX 75 solid-state Doppler weather radar, which offers long-range capability and a high-definition color palette when upgrading to the G1000 NXi. The Praetors now offer the lowest cabin altitude in their classes . At 45,000 feet, Praetor passengers experience a comfortable 5,800-foot cabin altitude. Embraer has developed the only electric lavatory pocket door in the midsize and super-midsize categories. Certified by ANAC in early June 2020, and recently validated by EASA and the FAA, the Praetor 500 and Praetor 600 are the only aircraft in the medium cabin segment to have the emergency exit door in the lavatory, while complying with the latest cabin safety requirements.
