Embraer Introduces Phenom 100 EV At Oshkosh Brazilian airframer Embraer has unveiled an upgraded Phenom 100 model at the ongoing Oshkosh show. It is called the Phenom 100 EV basically representing 'evolution'. It isn't a new model per se, it just adds a few upgraded features over the last base model. It is said that there will be two launch customers -Emirates Flight Training Academy and Mexico's Across- for the upgraded version when they are delivered in the first half of 2017.
So what is different with the new Phenom 100 EV? “The Phenom 100 revolutionized the entry-level segment when it set new standards for comfort, performance, and operating costs,” said Marco Tulio Pellegrini, President & CEO, Embraer Executive Jets. “The new Phenom 100 EV will deliver even greater performance and operational capability while preserving its low operating and maintenance costs.” Featuring a new avionics suite with the Prodigy Touch flight deck, based on the Garmin G3000, and modified Pratt & Whitney Canada PW617F1-E engines, offering more speed with superior hot-and-high performance is what it is really all about for the new entry-level model.
