  1. Epic E1000 Fast Turboprop Soldiers On Despite Crash
Following the news of an Epic LT turboprop aircraft crashing on Sunday the company is suggesting that all is well regarding their new E1000 composite aircraft. The crash of the Epic LT reportedly killed one of Russia's richest women, Natalia Fileva. Two others also perished in the crash. The aircraft was a kit-plane built by Epic Aircraft. Epic Aircraft was taken over by the S7 Group back in 2012 and they had been working to certify the E1000 and bring it to market.
  2. Despite the crash of the six-seat kit plane work on the six-seat E1000 continues and the company says there is no negative cause to the current certification timeline for the aircraft. Last year Epic concluded flutter and structural testing. They now look forward to FAA testing as it wraps up performance related work. Two flight test vehicles are currently in operation. Epic aircraft keeps saying the new 3.25 million dollar aircraft was near the end of certification but we hope when they say the target this time is the end of this year, it really is. Epic Aircraft has around 85 orders for this airplane.
