  1. Forthcoming Falcon 6X P&WC 812D Engine Certified By FAA
The forthcoming Dassault Falcon 6X is going to be powered by a pair of Pratt & Whitney Canada PW812D engines. This powerplant was just certified by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) a few days ago. Naturally Transport Canada already certified it as well as the European (Union) Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). The American FAA is now the third major regulatory agency to certify the engine for the Falcon 6X.
  2. The PW812D has accumulated alot of test hours and at the time of FAA certification, P&WC completed approximately 6,100 hours of engine testing. Imbedded in that are more than 1,150 hours of flight test work. The engine already can use Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) at a 50% blend with regular fuel. The PW812D is one of the latest variants of the PW800 series of engines. Remember the PW812D replaced the Safran Silvercrest powerplant that was intended to power what at the time was known as the Falcon 5X (the current 6X). The 6X is anticipated to enter service by mid-2023.
