  1. First Global 7000 By Bombardier Set To Fly This Year
The much-delayed Bombardier Global 7000 long-range executive jet is set to have first flight later this year if all goes according to plan. The Global 7000 is part of a a duo of upgraded long-range business jets -the other being the Global 8000- to be able to compete more effectively with other members of the long-range market. However, delays relating to wing-issues and other anomalies have struck Bombardier causing them to delay the entry into service significantly.
  2. The Global 7000 is now expected to make service entry sometime in late 2018 with the first test article billed to fly later this year. With certification on their Commercial CSeries out of the way and deliveries started Bombardier can now focus fully on the Global 7000. The GE Passport powerplants were certified by the FAA in April of this year and are ready to go. Although Bombardier says that the first flight will occur this year there is no specific date given much like they say they are also working on the Global 8000 but have no definite time frame on when it would come to market. Hopefully, once all goes well we will see the first flight of the Global 7000 this year.
